media.tribe — an international collective of media artists (Sasha Kodjo, Alisa Davydova, Sasha Medvedev) communicating with viewers through audiovisual installations. Through their works, the artists bring the audience into altered states of consciousness with intense presentation and unique style of working with light and sound, while the visual compositions of the installations are based on simple sacred forms.
REFRACTIONS — is an experiment with perception, where light and form lose their usual outlines. The artists hide the source of light, and all that remains — its movement and distortions. We no longer see clear objects, but only their reflections refracted through physical and psychological filters. The installation makes us think: what do we really see? The true world or just a distorted version of it? This installation by the art collective media.tribe, created with the support of the universe design studio, invites us to perceive reality as a continuous process of change, where the very essence is — in its instability.
